Whole-Home Remodel

A 4,400 sq ft home, remodeled in 14 days

Relocating from across the country and racing a closing date, Kathleen and Barry needed a whole-home remodel done fast. We ran every trade at once and finished all of it in 14 days.

Kathleen and Barry were moving to Katy from across the country, with their whole life packed into storage pods and an apartment lease running down while they waited on their new home to close. Every part of the job had to be scheduled around that closing date, and speed was the whole point. The sooner we finished, the sooner they were out of the apartment and into their house.

We started before the keys even changed hands. To help the sale close cleanly, we repaired the roof decking and retextured and painted the affected areas. The day after closing, our crew was inside and moving. Over the next two weeks we laid new flooring across 2,400 of the home’s 4,400 square feet, repainted the entire interior with a whole series of accent walls, built out custom closets, and painted the kitchen island and every bathroom cabinet.

The electrical scope ran just as deep, with licensed pros in the loop where the code requires it. We swapped every dated can light for a flush-mount LED, six in the game room alone, cut in and wired four new fixtures in the back sewing room, added dimmers at every switch, and put new lighting in every single closet. For the two upstairs rooms Kathleen was converting into sewing spaces, we ran dedicated outlets on their own breakers so her heavier machines never trip a circuit. In the two-story foyer we rebuilt and patched the original back chandelier, then hung a new high-end crystal fixture as the centerpiece.

The hard part was never any single task. It was running every trade at once, in the right order, with no collisions, while coordinating the HVAC crew and the other licensed trades around our own work, and landing the whole thing in 14 days start to finish. That coordination is the job. Kathleen and Barry went from an apartment full of boxes to a finished, cohesive home in two weeks.
