Decks made solid and safe again.

Soft boards, wobbly railings and bouncy spots fixed at the structure, not just the surface - so the deck feels solid underfoot and stays that way.

Deck problems start where you cannot see them: joists, beams, posts and the ledger connection to the house. Surface boards are the easy part. We open up and check the structure first, because a pretty deck on rotten framing is a liability with a view.

What is included

  • Structural inspection: posts, beams, joists and the ledger board
  • Rotten or split decking replaced to match
  • Railings tightened or rebuilt to be genuinely lean-proof
  • Stairs re-stringered and steps made even
  • Hardware upgraded: joist hangers, post bases and lags where they belong
  • Clean, stain and seal options to protect the repair

How it works

  1. Inspect underneath. The deck you see rides on the structure you do not. We check that first.
  2. Honest scope. Repair vs rebuild, itemized in writing.
  3. Repair the structure. Framing, connections and posts made right.
  4. Finish the surface. Boards, railings and stairs finished and walked with you.

What drives the price

  • Structural condition - surface repairs are cheap, framing repairs are real work
  • Deck size, height and railing footage
  • Material: treated pine vs cedar vs composite boards
  • Stairs and built-ins take the most fitting time

Common questions

Repair or rebuild?

If the frame is sound, new boards and railings transform the deck for a fraction of a rebuild. If posts or the ledger are compromised, partial repairs are throwing good money after bad. We tell you which, with photos of what we find.

What is a ledger board and why do inspectors obsess over it?

It is the board that ties the deck to your house - and the single most common cause of deck collapses when it is nailed instead of bolted and flashed. Ours get proper lags and flashing. It is not optional.

Composite or wood boards?

Composite costs more up front and ends the staining cycle; wood costs less and looks natural but wants maintenance in our sun and humidity. Both are valid - we price both and let the honest numbers decide.
