Siding sealed against Houston weather.
Cracked, blown-off or water-damaged fiber-cement siding matched, flashed, sealed and painted - so the patch protects like the original and disappears into the wall.
Fiber-cement (Hardie) siding is the Gulf Coast standard because it resists rot and pests - but it still fails at the details: butt joints without flashing, caulk that gave up, bottom edges wicking water, and impact cracks. Repairs are about restoring the water barrier, not just the board.
What is included
- Damaged planks and panels removed cleanly and matched by profile
- Housewrap and flashing behind the repair checked and corrected
- Butt joints, penetrations and trim caulked with the right sealant
- Rotten wood trim behind or beside the siding repaired honestly
- Primed and painted to blend with the existing wall
- Storm and impact damage documented if you are filing insurance
How it works
- Find the water path. Damage is a symptom. We find how water got in before we close the wall.
- Written scope. Boards, flashing and paint blending itemized.
- Repair and seal. Matched planks, corrected flashing, proper sealant.
- Paint and blend. Primed and painted so the repair disappears.
What drives the price
- Extent of damage and how much hidden rot is behind it
- Height and access - second-story repairs need staging
- Profile matching for older or discontinued siding
- Paint blending: spot vs whole-wall repaint for a seamless look
Common questions
Can you match my existing siding?
Usually yes - common lap profiles are widely available. For discontinued profiles we can often source close matches or repair in whole-wall sections so nothing looks patched.
Is fiber cement really better than wood siding here?
For our climate, generally yes: it does not rot, termites ignore it, and it holds paint longer. But its performance depends entirely on install details - flashing and clearances - which is where most failures we repair began.
Will insurance cover storm damage to siding?
Often, for wind and hail events. We document the damage with photos and provide a clear written scope you can hand to the adjuster. We do not play insurance games; we just document honestly.
