Paint & Finishes

A factory-smooth finish, without replacing a thing.

If your cabinet boxes are solid, refinishing delivers most of the visual impact of a new kitchen for a fraction of the cost. The catch: cabinet paint is unforgiving, and shortcuts show immediately.

Kitchen cabinets take grease, sun and a thousand touches a week. A finish that survives that starts with degreasing and scuffing every surface, a bonding primer, and sprayed coats of cabinet-grade enamel - not wall paint and a brush.

What is included

  • Deep degrease and scuff-sand - the step that decides whether paint sticks
  • Doors and drawers removed, labeled and sprayed flat for a factory feel
  • Bonding primer matched to your cabinet material
  • Cabinet-grade enamel, not wall paint
  • Kitchen masked off and dust controlled
  • Rehung, aligned doors with new hardware installed if you want it

How it works

  1. Assess the boxes. We check that boxes and doors are worth refinishing, and say so honestly if they are not.
  2. Degrease and sand. Every surface cleaned and scuffed. This is the step low bids skip.
  3. Prime and spray. Bonding primer, then sprayed enamel coats, cured properly between.
  4. Rehang and align. Doors back on, aligned, with a walkthrough in kitchen light.

What drives the price

  • Door and drawer count - the honest unit of cabinet work
  • Condition: grease, dents and old peeling finishes add prep
  • Color change severity and whether the boxes inside get painted
  • Hardware swaps and hinge upgrades, if wanted

Common questions

Paint or replace - how do I decide?

If boxes are solid and the layout works, paint. If boxes are failing, layouts are wrong, or you want different storage, replacement or reface makes more sense. We will tell you which side of the line you are on - even when it is the cheaper answer.

How durable is a painted cabinet finish?

With real prep and cabinet enamel, it should handle daily kitchen life for many years. Edges and high-touch doors will always wear first on any finish, including factory ones.

How long is my kitchen out of commission?

Boxes are painted on site while doors cure off site or in a controlled area, so the kitchen usually stays usable through most of the project.
